Observation Rock - Ice update???

Has anyone passed by Observation Rock recently and seen how the ice face is coming in? Photos? Thinking of running up there next week to check it out if it's not a rock/mud-fest. I figure with the recent system, temps in the 30-40's at 5500' and 20's at 10,000, next week might not be bad.

It's hard-packed snow right now. No exposed ice. Pickets are all you will need. I did not see much signs of recent rockfall down the face either.

Thanks for the info. My brother took a quick trip up that way yesterday and said the face looked pretty stable. We'll wait for the next cold spell and bust up there.

Hey cool. Maybe we saw him. We met some folks at the summit who had taken the scramble route up.
