JohnGo Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) For sale, one schwweeet condition Metolius Half Dome haul bag. Cost: $99. This retails for $210 on the Metolius website. PayPal accepted and shipping can be arranged, but I'd prefer to sell locally in Portland. Shipping costs to be paid by the buyer. Stop dreaming and start climbing, your big wall dreams are now but a one-day drive to Yosemite away! I am selling this because with two little kiddos, my big wall climbing days are fading to a close. This haul bag is very lightly used, on only two short walls. This size bag is perfect for 2-3 day walls, and for longer climbs if you pair it with another bag the same size. It comes with the required shoulder straps and waist belt, for when you need to carry the pig. This is an older model haul bag than the Half Dome model presently sold. The main differences are mine has no river bag style closure on top, it's tan not orange, and the seams are not RF welded (whatever that means). This haul bag was rated 5 out of 5 stars from the Supertopo big wall gear review: http://www.supertopo.com/review/Metolius-Half-Dome-Haul-Bag From the Metolius website: http://www.metoliusclimbing.com/half_dome.html · Haul bags don't get any tougher · The main seam is RF welded, forming a leak-proof seal that is stronger than the fabric itself · All structural stitching is covered with 3" webbing and re-stitched · River-bag-style closure · Well-padded, ergonomically-cut suspension system tucks away in seconds for hauling · Virtually indestructible, custom aluminum buckles throughout · Dual, top compression straps · Offset haul points · 3 Internal gear loops · Zippered internal stash pocket · Drain hole · Under bag haul points: 1.3 kN (300 lbf) · Smaller version of the El Cap · 31" tall x 18" dia. plus 15" collar (787 mm x 457 mm plus 381 mm) · 7600 cu. in. (125 L) · 7 lbs. 7 oz. (3.4 kg) · Color: assorted · Price: $209.00 Edited July 2, 2010 by JohnGo Quote
