Perryt Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 So I have done some climbing in the past (been a few years), but my daughter and I want to climb either Baker or Adams this summer. I am looking for some input as to which one will be easiest and least technical? Maybe not either of those, but something else.... Quote
Water Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 you probably want to do adams, especially as the summer goes on, it is more and more of a walkup (to the point that last september i ran up it on an unexpected day off work no crampons or ice ax required) Quote
Jarek Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I would also recommend Adams. The snow field does not have crevasses, it is non technical, however earlier in the season you may want to have at least ice ax and preferably crampons. Besides, my son loves to play and learn to use ice ax, so he typically takes one with him anyway. On Baker you may be dealing with a glacier and crevasses... Quote
