We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

WTB: Crampons and other misc items

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to find the last few items I need to climb Rainier this summer. Here's a list of what I'm looking for still:

Crampons - Either semi-auto or straps to fit Sportiva Glavier EVOs

Shovel - Maybe a shovel/probe combo?

Pickets, pulleys, carabiners - May just buy these new, I don't know.

Clothes (I'm 5'9" 180lbs for sizing) - Puffy, soft-shell pants

Tent - Not sure what I'm doing for a tent yet but I may buy a used one if I find the right one.

I have seen guys that that don't use tents to get to the top of Ranier on the Muir route. They would stay at the stone shelter.
