Charlie Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Anyone know of a triathalon coming up here in washington? Quote
JRCO Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Charlie, Check out the Black Hills Triathalon in Olympia. It is considered a sprint triathalon even though when I did it I came no where close to sprinting. I think the distances are 3/4 mile swim, 30 mile ride, 5 mile run. I think it is in August. Another popular one is the Wisky Dick in Ellensburg in July. I have never done it but it supposed to be tough. You swim the Columbia and then bike up hill to Ellensburg and then do a 10k run. Quote
kweb Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 Check out SPORTSETC.com They have info on upcoming triathlons, mt. biking, paddling, marathons........you name it. Quote
JRCO Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 Charlie, Also check out the Ridge to River in Wenatchee. I think it is this month sometime. Not a triathalon but close. It is a blast. If you don't want to do it all your self get a team together. Quote
Gerg Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 Don't forget the triple threat series at Fort Lewis. There are also a series of dualathons on Fort Lewis too. Check out http://www.ontherun.com/raceschd.sht This is mostly a running site, but they also have triathlons and duathlons listed. Greg Quote
Charlie Posted April 11, 2002 Author Posted April 11, 2002 Thanks for the help- I know it wasn't climbing related, but this site is a great source of info. Quote
jon Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 Most health clubs and fitness stores have the local free Sports Etc. and the other magazine. They have racing schedules in the back. I'll figure out the links and post them later. There is a sprint triathlon in Issaquah June 1st, 500m swim, 14m bike, 3m run. Quote
