WillK Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 For those interested...no skiing to be had as of today on St Helens (luckily, I was hoofin it). But, good "climbing" conditions (it is a hike). The scree and gravel was frozen in place on the upper 1500, making for great footing on the way up and less than comfortable down-walking. Very little snow on the route/no pons needed. Made for fast conditions: 2.5 up, 1.5 down from the trailhead to the rim and back....Hopefully the coming storms will dump some fun stuff on the mtns for you all... Quote
mzvarner Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 how are conditions looking on it now (12/3/09). im wanting to skin/board it. Quote
godskid5 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 from the view here in battle ground, and the low snow levels we've had for the past 3 weeks or so, it should be great. Looks to be completely covered down to the treeline at least. Supposed to snow down here in the valley overnight friday/early saturday too!! Good luck, make sure to post some pics. We're going to skin up, board down Dec 19th! Hope we get the great weather then that we've been having! Quote
