G-spotter Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Just got back from a hiking/turkey feast weekend in the northern Cariboos. Temps were hitting -20C overnight, +1c in the sun during the day. Tons of fat water ice in in the mountains around Valemount and Blue River with no avvy hazard as of yesterday. Feel kinda dumb for leaving tools & crampons at home, could have soloed a couple of 50-100m WI2s and 3s right off the logging road we used to access. Kinda felt like a warm front coming in as we left though Quote
gertlush Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 The PG alpine club has a good guide on their website as well. Quote
G-spotter Posted October 13, 2009 Author Posted October 13, 2009 Ya I will be looking stuff up in that. It doesn't cover the Blue River area though. The best looking stuff I saw was up Bone Creek. Quote
