NOCA1 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 ATTENTION CLIMBERS AND PTARMIGAN TRAVERSERS: Next week, Skagit County is going to be closing the Cascade River Road for bridge repairs at the Hard Creek Bridge (MP 12.7). This is a hard closure, meaning no vehicles!! Road will be closed on Sept 1-3, reopening Sept 4-7, and closing again September 8 through October 18 (projected). This means that all cars parked at the Cascade Pass TH must be out by the night of September 7!! Foot/bike traffic may or may not be allowed through beyond September 8, depending on what work is being done at the time. This is a county project, not an NPS project, and the Park Service has no power to sway these dates. However, you can call the Marblemount Ranger Station if you have any questions (360) 854-7245.
