bones159 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Does anyone know where the Salem Boulders are? I just read some stuff on it and the directions say ask the locals. I'm a local and have lived in Salem all my life and have never heard about it until now. Quote
letsroll Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 guess it should have said, ask "cool" locals Quote

Checat Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This topic came up a couple years ago on this website. I thought the determination was that it referred to a retaining wall northwest of Salem, with notched, epoxied, naturalistic "holds" in the retaining wall/Dam? Who knows there's so many "secret crags" out there, maybe its held the test of time? If you don't get oak come to the garden. That stuff has areas still to be found and its been re-discovered every couple years since the late 80's. I met a couple guys there in 04 who climbed at the Courthouse Indoor gym in Salem. They were pretty bouldering focused and they said they never found Toula's Rock and Road "Salem Boulders", is that the reference you are going off of? Quote
