scheissami Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 While doing the approach to Forbidden two years ago via Boston Basin we noted the very large wash-out through the road, making the approach a few extra miles. Did this affect the approach to Torment for the start of the traverse? Any other general recs for the climb? How hard is it to find the trail? Cheers, Erik Quote
Pete_H Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 The most time efficient way to approach Torment is via Boston Basin and the BB trail. As far as I know you can drive to the BB trailhead, though I haven't been up there this year. Quote
t_rutl Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 just came outa BB...you can drive to the TH just fine...washout just past Eldo has been repaired...trail is straight forward...just cross the largest "creek" around 5000ft low so you dont skirt the low camp...take the grassy moraine to high camp...3-3.5 hrs to high camp Quote
scheissami Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 Thanks! Good to know the trail was repaired, that was a monster washout... Quote
