Off_White Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 this is a modified REI half bag. I bought it years ago, cut off the ripstop shell and sewed a two layer goretex shell onto it. Seams are neither taped nor sealed, but it's worked well over the years, both as a sufferfest shelter and a child's sleeping bag. It's roughly 48" long, and it should go to some budget minded climber who will put it to use. I'm in Olympia, shipping is available at additional cost. Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Sweet modification. What is the approximate weight of this set up? Quote
Off_White Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 So, I'd never gotten around to weighing this thing until yesterday. It clocks in at 2lbs, so its a wee bit heavy, but a decent budget bivy item. It's still available and I'd love to move it on. It also works as a kid sized sleeping bag. Quote
