We had a lot of fun, found the route finding to be straightforward and the rock good. Watch for falling rocks...a good early season route above the lake. My friend and I did the Kearny variation, rather than the Beckey route. We did manage to dodge a few zingers from up top, but we were mostly out of the firing zone. DPS Posted July 29, 2009 Share Posted July 29, 2009 Yes, that was myself and Aaron Z on the Beckey (we think) route. We knew there was a party below us so we tried not to knock stuff down, but it was inevitable on a couple of the pitches. Glad to hear you did not get hit by anything. I really liked the route. The Kearny start was a lot of fun, very clean, and after hearing all of the rockfall on the Beckey side, we were glad to have chosen it. DPS Posted July 29, 2009 Share Posted July 29, 2009 The start of the Beckey, at least the way we went, was very good, clean 5.8 climbing.
