Josh Lewis Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 When posting I started out as stranger, then noob or what ever you call it, then all of a sudden I'm a jouney man, which I think of myself as one, but shouldn't there be some kind of imbetween? Not that I really give a rip, but it just seems kinda odd... perhaps a rank called hiker... Quote
Ponderosa Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 ...all of a sudden I'm a jou[r]ney man, which I think of myself as one, ... part of your problem Quote
Ponderosa Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 d00d, it's readily apparent from your own testimony that you're a greenhorn in regard to climbing and mountaineering and yet you regard yourself as a "journeyman". Yes, that is a part of the problem. Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Pretty common really.....how many carpenters have you met that after one year of apprenticeship are already spouting off about their "journeyman" skills and how they deserve to make as much money as the guy that has been swinging a hammer for 20 years... Not realistic but really common. Quote
Frikadeller Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Pretty common really.....how many carpenters have you met that after one year of apprenticeship are already spouting off about their "journeyman" skills and how they deserve to make as much money as the guy that has been swinging a hammer for 20 years... Not realistic but really common. You just described the last four apprentices I have had in the last few years.... Then you turn them loose, and yeah... At least in my trade they have to have the hours required before they can even take the test. Hours + passing test = Journeyman. No spray. Quote
