davidk Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 bare steel cable will eventually abrade a sling. This is why we use biners to clip a sling to a nut, hex, or any cabled pro. This is also why cams have plastic tubing covering the cable clip-in loop. Quote
JosephH Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Too tight a webbing turning radius - turns the bare cable into a knife. If you're talking older rigid stem Friends it should not be a problem - they aluminum stock stems, not cable. Quote
