jaydub624 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 If I leave the lot at Timberline around 1:00am and go up the south side route of Hood, and move at a moderate but not breakneck pace, what is a rough timeframe to get up and back down? Quote
dinomyte Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I'm sure opinions vary, but I find about 1000ft/hour to be relatively reasonable. Slightly faster on the way down. You should be down by noonish, depending on how long you take photos on top and how many folks you have to wait behind. Quote
Winter Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 6 hours up/2-2.5 hours down - that's a pretty moderate pace. Quote
scm007 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Jay are you leaving on Sunday morning or Sat morning? I will be leaving T-line at 1AM Sunday morning. I will be splitting. Quote
LonelySummit Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I've got a party of 5 or so leaving at 11pm. With all the people, I don't want to be heading up the chute it while people are coming down. Looking at the weather; what alt will it be freezing at? P.s. Don't touch the Sled of Death parked at the hogsback - that's my way down. Quote
