Hi All!

Today I bought the battery operated Mosquito Repeller made by Lentex. It claims to mimic the wing beat frequency that dragonflies and male mosquitos make. By replicating this sound it repels female mosquitos-- and female mosquitos are the only ones that bite. It's about the size of a wrist watch and runs on a tiny battery. It claims to create a bug free sphere of 6 to 8 feet. I can't wait to try it out

Has anyone tried this product out in the woods?

You got screwed dude. Those things don't work. At least you have a nice toy for your dashboard though.

Matt,

Don't listen to Dru, he has no idea how far modern technology has come in the outdoor industry.

The Lentex Mosquito Repeller works magic against those damn bugs. Never had a problem with it. Since I can tell you are the type of customer who knows what essentials are needed in the outdoors, let me recommend another product by Lentex, Snaffle-be-gone. Yes Snaffle-be-gone is also a small electronic device that emitts high frequency sound, which of course you can't hear, that repells those varmits we all love to hate. For just three easy payments of $19.95...

I've gone on numerous trips in the mountains where the mosquitos were so strong and plentiful that I spent every evening hiding inside my tent or outside with a ridiculous net over my head and a long sleeve shirt and pants covering my body.

I hate being bit my mosquitos but they love me. It must be my sweet blood.

BTW, it's funny you mention it, I also bought the Snaffle-Repeller. My wife has a phobia of snafflehounds and the Snaffle-Repeller works great! It's the reason why I decided to test out the mosquito repeller. The SR mimics the sound of an angry rattlesnake and keeps small rodents away.

Every climber should have one on his or her alpine rack! Ever have a mouse nibble on your climbing shoes? Ever wake up to see a Snafflehound snacking on your bag of green bud? No more worries once you have the Snaffle-Repeller to protect you. Go to www.snafflerepeller.com to pick one up today!

Those mosquito nets work real good but it a bitch trying to drink scotch thru them.

I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't have a reaction to mosquito bites. No swelling no itching. But black fly bites always swell up like a bee sting, itch for a week then turn into a huge scab. So I still need to put on DEET. DEET kicks ass! And it melts plastic and nylon too! I love dripping that stuff on my buddies ropes. Hey Yossarian, do ya think it works on snafu-hounds?

I too used to get tangled in bug nets. Now, from the makers of EZ-Clip and Rope Hook comes the ultimate in outdoor protection, the Yuppie-Guard 5000 Supa Deluxe. This integrated system utilizes space age materials that offers protection from bugs, snafu-hounds, Lambone's falling rocks, and any other inconveniences found when venturing outside the city limits. Supplies are limited! Order yours today!
