podasaurus Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Trip: Pete's Pile - moderate stuff Date: 8/15/2008 Trip Report: Went out to Pete's Pile to escape the heat and found a superb cool morning and great moderates. Climbed Even (5.7), For Pete's Sake (5.8, favorite of the day), Dunce (5.6) and School Room (5.9 TR). First time out to Pete's and I was very impressed with the development including the top chains and the killer spectator/belay seat in the schoolroom area. Thanks out to the guys that made this place happen. Sorry no pics. Gear Notes: normal trad fare. Approach Notes: dusty 100 yards or so. Quote
cranestyle Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Does anyone have any beta for the route down the trail from the schoolroom area that goes through the big roof? The route appears to up a thin crack for 100 feet then over a orange rock roof to a bolted arete to the top. It a good looking line that I would like to give a go, any info would be appreciated.
