RichardKorry Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 We are going to a wedding at the Sleeping Lady in mid-Aug and I'd like to set up a few top ropes for my kids (8,5,2). I haven't climbed there in forever and am looking for some ideas. I'm thinking easy (3rd/4th class slab) to very easy fifth class that has a safe base area. I have the white guide book from the early 1990s as my guide so if the area has been developed recently I might need more beta on how to get there. Thanks Richard Quote
ashw_justin Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 (edited) Mountaineer's Dome? I think this is one of the small bluffs on the right side of the road about halfway between Sleeping Lady and the Snow Creek Trailhead parking lot (1-2 miles up the road). Edited July 30, 2008 by ashw_justin Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 barney's rubble is TR heaven. 5.0 slab on the east (i think) face. 5.easy crack on the river side. Quote
Peter_SS Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I am going over this weekend to recon the kids ropeup site. Any thoughts on Peshastin Pinnacles? Barnies Bubble is nice easy safe parking shade nearby safe place to play at the base of the wall. Burces bolder across the road has a easy climb as well easly top roped. Quote
rob Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 my 5 yo daughter likes roto wall.... I've never been to playground point, but it seems like there are some easy climbs there, if you're looking for easy slab Quote
