minx Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 OK, you can but it can't be on a direct flight. PITA! you'd think in the modern age of technology (when i still can't properly use an ipod in my car apparently) that i could get a direct flight! Quote
lI1|1! Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 on an etymological note, the term "you can't get there from here" originally comes from maine. to outsiders it likely represented a depiction of maine locals as stupid, but a cursory look at the map of maine's coast will reveal many deep inlets and peninsulas. thus, unless there happens to be a bridge or a ferry, getting from one spot to a seemingly close one is actually a long drive, requiring one to first drive to an intermediate point from which one can reach the objective. it's an obvious interpretation if you've ever spent any time downeast talking to the locals. just thought i'd edumacate you ignoramouses. Sherri Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Those won't do you a bit of good when they take out the bridge next year. We're all going to die of boredom and inbreeding. Quote
