gummer Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Tieton? Never! The rock will never hold, it's crappy and breaks all the time under body weight. The rock even though it is called andesite is more like vertical mud. Snakes and ticks are every where. There are so many climbers all over the place you can't even get on a route. Better find another area to work on and develop your bolting skills. By the way, what cliff were you looking at? Quote
Coldfinger Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Nope just to the E (N of US 12) of the MR lot are a few bands of tall and very steep basalt entablature, but like most basalt in the Tieton, if it hasn't been cleaned by a few hundred years of running water, it's probably chossy. I never bothered with it b/c if it goes it's 5.12 and up. Quote
