Komperdell carbon fiber shovel....anybody use one?

What are your thoughts? I need to upgrade from my old plastic one. Was going to get the voile XLM but came across the Komperdell. With a longer handle then the XLM it sure would save my back. Would be carried in avy conditions but probably only get use when digging a platform.

I found it for $110. Price isn't a factor for me. I took almost 2 years off from climbing so my climbing funds have just been building up.

It's still a plastic shovel. Plastic shovels suck.

 

The BD Deply 3 is 20 oz (5 ounces or 2 Clif bars heavier), has an aluminum blade and packs smaller.
