bstach Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I am wondering what the conditions are up on Mt. Seymour. It is supposed to be sunny tommorow and 19c. I would like to take my family for a hike and am wondering if we will be post-holing up there? Or is it fairly hard-pack trail? Quote
jordop Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Was up there Thurs pm . . . 2 cms fluff on top of crust . . . it WAS ok, it WILL be shite i.e. past condish fly out the window when the fl goes to 2200m and if you hit it in 5hrs it will be fine, but by 5pm and if there are no clouds, you might want some squishy syrup. Sorry. Quote
bstach Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 We were up there today between 12 and 3pm. The snow conditions were perfect for hiking. Firm enough to support our weight with just boots, soft enough to kick steps up the steep bits.
