April 1 (AP) The Mariners baseball club announced today that they will be moving immediately to Oklahoma City, OK. With the cost of jet fuel, they simply can't afford to fuel each player's individual private plane to fly across the country every road trip. Sharing planes is out of the question.

Said Mariners Chairman Dick Butts, "The city and state refused to build us a new stadium this year. We used Safeco field last year, and simply can't afford to use it again. Other clubs got new stadiums. We want one too."
