lancegranite Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Yo, woke up this morning in Blue Diamond to moderately heavy snow. It was not sticking in town, but the park looked like it got pasted pretty good, so if you are planning to come down this week, check with DRS or somebody. Classic Nevada in the spring, we were basking in the sun yesterday, climbing Red Zinger and Zyphoid Fever. Two great cracks, boy do my hands hurt... Quote
SemoreJugs Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Hey where are you staying? I am headed down on the 26th. Wanna get a low-down on the camping situation. Word is that the BLM site sucks major dog dong. Also, how crowded are the routes as of now? Quote
SemoreJugs Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I'm talking about the long moderate 5.8-5.10 classics Quote
Sherri Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Yo, woke up this morning in Blue Diamond to moderately heavy snow. It was not sticking in town, but the park looked like it got pasted pretty good... But isn't it beautiful? Quote
powderhound Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 The moderates are seeing some traffic. I was just down there for the last nine days and noticed a particular amount of traffic on the usual suspects (dark shadows, birdland, crimson, ect...)We spent a couple of mid-week days in the Black Velvet canyon and each day there were at least one party on the classic longer moderate 5.10's. If you don't want any lines I suggest taking a look at the Brownstone wall. Quote
lancegranite Posted March 18, 2008 Author Posted March 18, 2008 Sorry, I'm now in Mississippi. The weather is pretty nice here if anybody wants to know. Quote
