We spent about seven days climbing, and hit Moderate Mecca, Cannibal Crag and the boulders at Calico Basin, Panty Wall and Dog Wall at Calico Hills First Pullout, Gallery and Stratocaster at the Second Pullout, and Oak Creek Canyon. The trip was a really fantastic learning experience for Chris and I, and a sending spree for our climbing party. The weather was nice -- we had chilly overnight temps and some chilly climbing days, but when it was cold in the hills the boulders were warm and sunny. This was my first trip to Red Rocks, and I can't wait to get back.

In fact, I'm having a hard time figuring out why we actually came home........

Gear Notes:

We lived in base layers and fleece (and sleeping bags) at camp, but two bags were overkill even on our chilliest night.

Nice work SG! Sounds like you had a great time and caught the RR bug! I bet we'll see you down there again before long...

Yea, one of the best places for a PNW-er to go. It has the inverse of our weather so we can all climb year round! good TR on your bloggle too.

Bummed I missed my annual trip there this winter...
