jmace Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Trip: Whistler - Mystery Roach Hotel Date: 12/1/2007 Trip Report: Graham R and I decided to have a go at some Whistler ice on Saturday. Don S figured there would be little ice and he was more or less right. The soo bluffs arent in or very close and we drove to the glimmer twins which are close to being in but are probably quite avy threatened now and the road may not be driveable any more. Its still a tad too early for good solid ice. However we were able to climb Mystery Roach Hotel, a great climb although we both were hesitant to lead it in its current state so we just dropped a TR and delicatley climbed a few laps. You can essentialy drive to the base although you cant belay from your car. We saw no bolts as is claimed in the guide. the route Quote
