danhelmstadter Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 where would one start to access nf routes on Adams in the winter? anyone know ~distances etc... ? Quote
AllYouCanEat Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 ...Ore Creek snow park for those that don't know and it's about (guessing here) 12 miles from the trailhead. Right now I imagine you'd get to the parking lot/trailhead, but not for long. Also the road from the south is closed with no easy access around. From the north the 23 road is still open and the various backroads to get there. I know you know this now Dan, but i thought I'd put here for others who may not. Quote
gpsjake Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Check out the GreenTrails map of the Adams area. There appears to be a straight shot trail from a Sno-Park to the South Climb trailhead... Approx 5 miles. I tried to hike the south climb road two years ago in February. It was much to far and slow, we burnt up way too much time getting to the trailhead. Quote
