rmncwrtr
My son's soccer league asked each coach and parent to watch this YouTube video and substitute "soccer" each time the guy says "hockey." It's really applicable to any sport a kid may play though. Thought I'd pass it on for those of you with sport playing kids. zWsj089oNM0
Couloir
Excellent. Great message for sure. My son has an aversion to "team sports" because several of his friends growing up were involved and hated it. They liked the sport, but loathed the official games. From the coaches to the parents, I think we've lost it somewhere along the way. There seems to be a complete disconnect however when it comes to academics. This notion of not using grades, or god forbid a red pen when correcting papers, for fear of damaging their self-esteem is absolutely nuts. It does nothing to prepare them for when they get into the real world. Maybe these two worlds needs to mesh a little more and come to a nice even balance.
