XtremeCO Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hey folks! I live in Colorado and I am looking to join a group of people that are looking at climbing Rainier before the normal season closes. I was there in July, but had to turn back on the DC because of weather. I have a current climbing pass and could be ready to go in a matter of days(airfare and etc.)! I am 43, but a strong climber! I would entertain other routes, but would depend on the difficulty... Let me know.... ->Walter Quote
JackY Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 "I am 43, but a strong climber!" Should being 43 make you a weak climber? (hope not!) Quote
lizard_brain Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Here, here. ...That should be "I am 43, AND a strong climber!" Quote
edmclen Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 This upcoming weekend is my last in Oregon, and I'd love to get a last summit in before I head back to the pint-sized Appalachians in North Carolina. Most of my climbing experience is rock climbing, but I know the mountaineering basics and am in good aerobic condition. What do you think? - Ed Quote
Shane1 Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I'm going this weekend (Aug. 18-19) up the Emmons and could use another partner if you're interested. Shane- shaneinsacto@sbcglobal.net Quote
XtremeCO Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 Shane thanks for the offer this weekend, but the airfare is $903 and it would make it extremely difficult with two days notice. Perhaps you and Ed should hookup for this weekend! Appreciate all the comments and I will keep checking back for any news.... Quote
