I suppose you could use M10 for snow and alpine f you really wanted to, but they would not perform as well as, say, the CM S-12. M10 front points are vertical, and as such will not perform as well in alpine snow situations as horizontal front points. Also the crampons are fairly rigid, which could lead to problems (detachment, breaking) if you are using them with a more flexible mountaineering boot instead of a stiff ice boot. Bonne chance.

m10s are semi-flexible and work good on leather mtneering boots.

m10s have vert front pts, true, but conditions where you realy need horizontal front pts i have found to be few and far between.

the pts can be extended for snow or pulled in for hard ice.

but the antibotte costs like $35 CDN more!!! bastards.

maybe look at the dmm terminator as it is similarily shaped, adjustible, point-mixable and comes with a horizontal-ish "spoon" point set designed just for snow & weird crud mixed. and it comes with an antibotte. and its like $50 cheaper.
