webnick2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Hi, I was wondering if Darrington climbs need a lot of sunshine to dry out? I'm new to Seattle and would like to drive up there for some rock climbing but am curious when it's doable. Also, PW for any weekend trip up there. Thanks! Nick Quote
catbirdseat Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 At least some of the Three O'Clock Rock climbs will be dry enough. By "Green Mountain" you weren't actually thinking of Green Giant Buttress, were you? Quote
mattp Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Depending on the amount of rainfall, Green Giant (Dreamer) can dry pretty fast. There often lingers some wetness at the crux move on the second undercling pitch, though and in a few other "key" spots but it can still be doable. Rumor has it that the road did not suffer substantial washout damage this winter. Quote
