Bug Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I will be in Missoula March 14-18. I will bring my rope and rack and can lead every pitch if needed. Or share. Anyone (and only one) who can follow 5.7 and is a competent belayer is welcome. There are one or two 5.9 moves in one spot but with enough tension, you will make it up. Cheers! Bug Quote
jlag Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 If the snow continues to suck I'll go. It's a pretty major drive for me(Bend) but I love Blodgett. I've been on the route a few times, about 10 years ago. One of my favorites for sure Quote
Bug Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 Not if it is raining. Doh. Even if it is not raining there will be water in the backs of the cracks. But I have climbed it this early before. It is not your basic summer climb but it is south facing and was snow free two weeks ago. I don't know how much snow they have had since then. I will be there regardless, so if anyone is interested, I can drive over there, check it out and post here to let you know how it looks. Can't get much better service than that (no Bubba jokes please). Quote
tbrugh Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I told my parents i would come back home that weekend, so I think I'll be in Missoula around then. I haven't climbed Shoshone in a couple years...great route. Let me know if you haven't found anyone to do it with. Â Quote
Bug Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 So far no one has committed for sure. I haven't climbed it for at least 15 years. I'll PM you with my contact info. Quote
NYC007 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I may be game. I will pm you when gets closer. Quote
