DanielHarro
I am looking for a good approach ski used in places like the Alaska Range, I was thinking of something light and short. I came across these: Dynafit ski touring 1.0 (very bottom of page). http://www.life-link.com/dynafit_intro.htm Any suggestions, good bad?? Other ideas?? I am going to use these skis for approaches with mountaineering boots I am not looking for some crazy performance ski.
Arc
Those are fine, but I bet you can find something cheaper on ebay or geartrade.com.
Farrgo
You might have to look for a bit but you can always find old silveretta ski bindings cheap. Start hitting the pawn shops. My buddy got his with skis for $50.
plexus
I agree, got my set for $80. The pain has been finding ski brakes. I see sets of 404s going on ebay for over $100 and I just shake my head.
ryland_moore
I'll sell an old pair of Silveretta 404s with late 90's alpivne skis for less than $100. Make me an offer. They are awesome for approach skis, fairly short. My buddy used them on Denali for the slog up to 14k. They are a little tough learning to ski in mountaineering boots but I got pretty good at it after a while. PM me if interested.....
