Which is the most durable/servicable.

Yes I see 1lb diff and some extra room due to dome design.

Use is 2 people on exended mtn stays

Or 3 people for 2-3 day

VE-25 is tight for 3 people.

It's listed as a 3man tent, and if being cozy is fine, then 3 is ok. but it really is a 2man with space tent.

As for durable, VE-25 is a time tested design.

 

From what I gather from online info, the exped. is $80more,

same square footage, 1 extra pole.

^^If those are correct, then I'd go with the VE-25 hands down

You might want to check out the Hilleberg tents. They're roomy, light for their size, and very stout in a blow. I spent a few weeks in a Keron up in the north land and noticed that every detail about it was simple and well thought out. Definitely worth a look.
