  1. size medium arc'teryx gamma sv jacket. made in Canada very well made, only used as a mid layer - the trim fit of the gamma mx was a better fit and I used that jacket as an outer piece. colour is Burdungy or wineish, condition is excellent. $165shipped - this is the polartec powershield model excactly like this one - but the colour is darker, and the logo/script is a dark grey http://iris.backcountry.com/image/view/c35910/900/900
  2. this is a late 90's jetstream backpack. it has partial carbon fiber stays, and I think it was 3lb 6oz for the 55 litre pack. very long/tall, yellow bivy sleeve/collar intact. floating top lid and crampon pocket on the outside for the unfamiliar. few links exist, but I can take a photo of the catalog (still have it, figure that, eh!) asking $150 or best offer. great pack, not used often, just streamlining/downsizing.
  3. haven't posted in ages - found my old bookmarks! anyhow, I have an excellent condition basecamp tent. it's a himalayan hotel, just like the one here: http://www.oocities.org/yosemite/trails/5416/himalaya.htm no rips, tears, uv degradation, or missing poles. picked up ages ago, used it a couple of times for a couple of days, now looking to pass it on to a new home: the last few years it's been stored in a rubbermaid. asking $450 shipped, or best offer. I have a very high ebay rating, just rather sell direct to avoid the ebay fees. gearup5000 at yahoo.com
  4. Hey, haven't been here in awhile. I have a Patagonia Torre jacket - gore-tex, in excellent condition. It's a medium but fits a little large. 3ply, helmet compatible hood, low key looks, a great mtn parka. Also have an arc'teryx sidewinder SV, xcr goretex I think, as new condition also medium. asking $150 for the torre, $200 for the Arc'teryx Photos at flickr.com/photos/stuff-4-sale
  5. Hi, clearing out the gear trunk a bit. Photos here: The red is size XL, Patagonia stretch triolet. excellent condition, 8.5 at least. $150? The 2nd Patagonia is a Torre - most refined version and excellent as well - size medium. $200 Also, have an arc'teryx sidewinder sv (older style with two handpockets and xcr) in blue. $200
  6. Found this in my archives, still sitting on it. $350?
  7. Are the gamma sv gloves still available? If so, I'll take them. please email me at geaurp5000@yahoo.com
  8. Yep, that's right. A Himalayan Hotel. Excellent condition. I think I have some pics somewhere, but fyi, this is a feeler. First fair offer takes it. No rips/tears/odors/all poles are accounted for and in fine working order.
  9. Excellent camera, just have too many and won't use it. $500 shipped or best offer. Goes for $520-$550 http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympuse410/page28.asp
  10. Thought they would fit, but the 32" inseam is a tad long for me. $225 shipped or best offer. Brand new, tried on for sizing, that's it. And made in Canada.
  11. Just received it. It's in perfect condition. Just not for me. It's red/chili and mostly black. $50?
  12. I think you meant, you can get a covert scarf...that's NOT made in Canada. If they weren't paid less, then the production would still be in Canada. However, all these "fair" points of view are usually narrow, and singularly focused i.e. suspension of reality. I mean, throwing in the Chinese ownership of US debt making it a complex situation vs a simple one would undermine the simple "moral" high ground. Anyway, I hope the innovation continues and that the quality is not sacrificed.
  13. Mostly small and medium, can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stuff-4-sale/ Not Pictured yet (Sunday!) Prana pants, medium 32 x 32. Has dual cargo pockets on the thighs, they are styled like jeans. good condition - just don't use `em. grey. North Face hiking shorts - Small, dark olive. One velcro thigh pocket, rear zip wallet pocket (stow pocket) excellent. pull on style but with zipper fly. Might sell my Gamma SV, medium. The colour is a bit faded due to use/washings, but is in fine condition. A new Crumpler PDA case for your belt, red. NOTE: The gamma sv can be seen behind the black MEC fleece, and you can get the colour of the prana pants too. Open to reasonable offers. Would prefer to sell some items together. Pics of "missing" gear will be up by Sunday. For trades well, can use some gloves, size large. prefer mammut burton or marmot ultimate, a LT. dan cap from Arc'teryx (mine got snagged!) or rho balaclava...let me know.
  14. I did get the gift card as they "warranteed" my jacket. (see above). They were very good about it. The guy was very, very knowledgeable. After all, it was a 1998 model jacket - and he was keen to help me. Probably because it was a NYC store and he was used to helping "yuppies". Yes there are "better" jackets out there now, but I liked the understated, 1 colour parka look. And it had a few key touches: 1 piece shoulder for free, light movement, gusset at the wrist for easy under gloves/less bulk (is that so hard!), I liked the bellow-free napoleon pcokets. Oh and the diagonal positioning is much better: it is WAY easier to access with 1 hand ex: rope in your right, go for the digital camera with the other. It was very durable, no frills, and relatively light. So, hoping to get another for "sentimental" reasons. Black would be choice. Best of all: "gore tex" was no where to be seen. Just a patagonia tag - that's it.
  15. They don't appear 1x a week, and not in my size. Maybe once a month. I just missed a size small actually (checked completed acutions). They had to warrantee my jacket because it was too expensive to fix. I really liked it as it was relatively light given the durability, it was a nice red, and very unassuming i.e. no stares if I use it on a rainy day to/from work.
  16. I was told by the warrantee guys that they couldn't save my old jacket (g-tex delam) and am looking for a replacement. In any case, I'd prefer it in red, or black, size small or medium.
  17. New Balance does put out nice trail runners. Adidas used to have a model that was great for me - the TR (trail response). As for the lateral business, it seems to me that some models are "outdoor" running shoes, and some are "trail runners", with the former being re-badged shoes with beefier soles, and the latter being a ground-up design. Also go for #2.
  18. Looking to find it for 1/2 off (so $145) in black and medium. Or would trade straight up against an arc'teryx XL alpha sv gtex shell, or maybe a 2x used arc'teryx bora 35 I particularly like the attached hood. I ordered one for a family member, liked what I saw, but they were all out when I called back.
  19. Good to very good condition. too blue, size is LARGE Ask is $175 delivered. Everything works fine, just the snap cover is gone (still snaps) anx a little bit of wear at the hem. Pic is avail. via email
  20. I am a fan of my Arc'teryx Borea. Great carry, can remove the hipbelt to slap on a webbing one...side zips makes it easy to organize (think, like a suitcase). Is about 48 litres, but you can easily lash/secure a pocket, or weave a bungee through the daisies of the flat backpanel.
  21. 4 person 4 season basecamp style tent. Condition is A-1 excellent. No rips/tears fading etc. Just streamlining. *Looking for a reasonable offer for this tent.* This isn't the most recent model - will verify if the poles are US made. Stored properly in a cool basement. Eventually will grab a 3 or 4 person single wall
