bub Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 I'm a pdx finish carpenter headed to Palm Desert for a highly custom woodworking job. Help needed. Job: Install custom panelized ceiling, fabricate & install bent wood molded arches in a dome ceiling. Jobsite AC'd. 3 miles from the San Andreas Fault. You could be there for the Big One! You: A modern day Michelangelo woodworker wannabe. Pay: Hourly plus per diem ($120/day) plus travel to and from pdx to So California once or twice, and health insurance. Benefits: 1hour to J-Tree (tho probably too hot during this job) & 1 hour to Idyllwild. 4-5 hour drive to Lone Pine, CA. Work (4) 10's or 12's per week, play 3 days a week on granite, health insurance. Could start immediately on a current custom working project in Oregon. When back from So Cali, work would continue on a custom stairway/woodworking project in the pdx area. Email if interested: rjmconstruction@hotmail.com Quote
Dechristo Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Are you supplying the steam-tube apparatus for construction of the bent-wood arches or are they faux (laminated in place)? What stationary tools (shaper, planer, jointer, saws) are you providing? Make me an offer I can't refuse. Quote
bub Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 They will probably be glue laminated onsite to forms and fit into place, and ran through a shaper. I am moving a full contingent of woodworking tools down Powermatic TS, Planer, jointer, etc and handtools from carving to sanders and misc power tools. Whatever I don't have that we need to ge the job done, I'll get. Check your PMs. Bob Quote
