Climb: DEB on South Early Winter Spire, WF on NEWS-

 

Date of Climb: 6/29/2006

 

Trip Report:

Climb the DEB on thursday with PU, which was a great route. Pretty much every other bolt on the bolt ladder has been retro bolted. Most of the old one are easy to clip, had to work for one or 2. On Friday climbed the WF on NEWS which is a stellar route with nice crack climbing for most of the climb. The guide books suggest not to link pitches but really isnt a issue. Will post pics soon

 

Gear Notes:

bout 14 qds on SEWS was important so what the booty we found.thanks Oh, and there are 2 fixed wire about a foot below the crux on the WF

 

Approach Notes:

snow on app. on east side but can be avoided for all but a few times. Was realll nice on the way down for a fast slide down. from other is well documented else where.
