beecher Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Anyone know if the approach to Le Petit Cheval is snow-covered at the moment? If it 'tis, would an ice axe be recommended for competent travelers? Would it be worth skiing the approach? Sorry I don't have a map in front of me. Thanks! Quote
layton Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 can't say if it's snow covered or not, but definately not a ski, probably not a snow-shoe either. Quote
NYC007 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 dont bring skis. from WA pass I saw little snow on hike in, there is a lil left in the descent gully which should make it more pleasent. I would think a axe would be a bit over kill, some of the scrambling on the hike in my be a bit...moist.mmm Quote
shapp Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 (edited) two weeks ago there appeared to be little snow on the approach, you can rap the route too. The creek was rippin though Edited June 22, 2006 by shapp Quote
