telemarker Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Are you insured under Public Employees Benefit Bureau (PEBB)? Did you get any supplemental (term) life insurance because of your climbing? If so, did they (Reliastar Ins. Inc.) ask you about roped activities and did they place any restrictions on your supplemental coverage? I know this is a specific question that pertains to few on this board, but if you work for the state of WA, you can e-mail me directly regarding this (plotz) or just reply to the thread. thanks! chucK Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 No climbing exclusion as far as I could tell (I specifically asked the benefits people at the UW). I did have to get a blood test and fill out a medical-history questionnaire. Quote
telemarker Posted May 31, 2006 Author Posted May 31, 2006 Thanks Chuck, BTW, did you enroll in the "Part D Supplemental Life"? Quote
sobo Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 ...ask you about roped activities and did they place any restrictions on you... all roped activities...?? Sorry, tm, but somebody was gonna do it. Mighta well as been me. Quote
chucK Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Yes, I think so. It's the extra insurance you can opt for (for which you have to pay more), that covers more than the piddly amount (funeral expenses basically) covered by the default coverage. Quote
