First Yak-bouldering, and now this:

 

Yak-skiing in Manali, India (A person on skis and holding a bucket of nuts is attached to a yak by a long rope fixed to a pulley on a hilltop, with the yak near the top and the skier far below. The skier rattles the bucket loudly to infuriate the yak, which then charges down, yanking the skier rapidly uphill.).

OK, so the concept of how this works is pretty simple...

 

...but what happens when the skier, halfway up the hill, meets the charging and infuriated yak (charging and infuriated being the operative words here), halfway down the hill?

 

Is there a <trainwreck> graemlin out there?

The most interesting thing here is just how little it takes to infuriate a yak - I had no idea that they had such hair-trigger tempers.

They don't seem to mind loads (or wigs), however.

 

 

Just leave your can of nuts at home for your expedition...
