Thad, his friend Mark, and I headed off to the City for the weekend. Spent Saturday climbing some of the fun classics in the Inner City: Raindance, Mystery Bolter, Too Much Fun, and some other swag. Sunday we headed off to Steinfell's Dome and did a couple long easy slab routes.

Here are some photos of the 5.8 route..forgot the name and don't have the guidebook here at work. It's nothing special, but the views of the surrounding area from the route are spectacular.

The three of us simulclimbed past 4 or 5 sets of chains to the base of the vertical 'headwall' about 3/4 of the way up.

This is the first little step about 1/4 up the route. (the route actually goes around this to the right)

This vertical section (3/4 up) is the part circled in the next photo. It runs up a quartz dike and makes for a nice change of pace from the slab plab.
