I felt his politics often permeated his reports inappropriately, but you can't deny he was a class-act. I have only now learned that the guy never even graduated from high school, and later became a self-taught, reading-research machine. I regret that I didn't know his bio before his death. My respect for the man would only have been enhanced.

A life worth envy and respect.
