rafiki Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 I plan to get some rope to climb at the Marymoor Rock. 50-60m is what they seem to sell at most gear shops but I probably only need around 30m since I plan to have a regular full length rope for actual climbs. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share a 60 m rope. We could have it cut into two 30 m ropes. Please contact me at 425-301-2975 if you are intersted. Thanks! Quote
tread_tramp Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 A number of years back I bought a 30 m rope for glaciers from Pro Mountain Sports which appeared to be 1/2 of a cut 60m rope. Don't know if he'd do that with a rock climbing rope. Quote
chelle Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I have a used 60 meter 9.8mm Sterling climbing rope that still has a lot of life left in it. It's a couple seasons old, has seen 6 trips to Smith, and has 2 leader falls < 15 feet. I'll sell it to you for $30 and you can cut it in half and have 2 ropes to use at Marymore. Since I still have 4 other ropes, I just don't need that one anymore. Quote
Ed_Hobbick Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I need a 30 meter rope as well, so I'd go in on one with you. Quote
andrewbanandrew Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I think www.gearexpress.com sells short ends of rope Quote
