eldiente Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I'm really wanting to go up to Beacon and climb this weekend (July 4th) but I'm guessing that it is still closed for nesting. Any chance of Beacon being open for climbing this weekend? I'm looking to sail my boat up there and would be glad to meet up with anyone for a climb/beer, that is of course if Beacon is open. billcoe Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 The main routes on the south side are currently closed. However, the NW side has been open all year. There is a sign by the water fountain near the parking lot which points to the closed area right there. The closure is as clearly marked as it's ever been if you want to head there and scope it out. How about sailing to Broughtons Bluff just like Lewis and Clark did a while ago? Then go climb. As cold and as wet as it's been, it's probably the premier place right now. Quote
eldiente Posted June 28, 2005 Author Posted June 28, 2005 I've heard rumors of an early opening if the nest is empty? Any thoughts on this? Quote
billcoe Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Sorry I didn't answer this previously: it was up in the air until yesterday. Heres the full meal deal. http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/threadz/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/474887/an/0/page/0#474887 Quote
