Smed
I'm trying to plan a climbing trip to Thailand for the end of Dec through March. However, I just heard that there is no climbing there at that time of year because it is way too hot. Anyone know anything about this or have any suggestions for where else I should look into? wrench
I went end of January and yeah it was hot, like 90-95 every day, with a lot of humidity, but there are always shadey crags to be found (unless you are going there to climb at Tonsai Wall every day), and the sea nearby to cool off in. I didn't find the heat to be too much of a problem and I bet if you're there that long you'll aclimate pretty well. Personally, I thought the mosquitos were way worse than the heat. chelle
Plenty of shady crags around and good beaches to lay on during the heat of the day. I went mid-Feb through mid-March and had a great time. Drink lots of water and you'll be fine.
