Nooksack Tower, Becky/Schmidtke route

Does anyone know avalanche/travel conditions for the Nooksack Tower, How is the Log Crossing of the Nooksack River? I am planning to climb it April 28-29.

Don't know about the avy conditions. We climbed the route this last year and also climbed Nooksack ridge to Shuksan. The old log was gone (around price creek). There was another smaller log about 200 yds. East (away from price creek)... you will need your crampons to cross it. You can check out our pictures on http://www.alpinezone.50megs.com

late april may not be the best time to attempt Nooksack Tower, there tends to be a lot of wet snow ready to avalanche if its not already in the process. (unless its unseasonably cold)
