joe Posted April 3, 2001 Posted April 3, 2001 Has anyone been up the Easton glacier route this spring? I climbed it once before in August and wondered if snowshoes were required this time of year (especially since, as of last week, you couldn't drive all the way to Schreiber's (sp?) Meadow parking lot but had to start at the snopark 2 mi further down)? I'd appreciate any info on climbing the route this time of year. Thanks. Joe Quote
Dru Posted April 4, 2001 Posted April 4, 2001 Skis, maybe? It's a long way to sno shu when you could schuss back down. The Baker/chilliwack alpine region got over a foot (35cm for Canadians) of new in the alpine in the last few days. Quote

John_Hollett Posted May 1, 2001 Posted May 1, 2001 Drove up FS13 last Saturday and got stuck in the mush about 3 1/2 miles from the trailhead and a half mile from the current location of the snowpark. I have an Exploder and even in 4 wheel drive, we got stuck for about an hour. Fortunately, we had our shovels. During the shoveling it was dumping very heavily so we headed East to Silver Star and were rewarded with a beautiful, but long day. Quote
