Dogger1 Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Given that (I believe) we're in an El Nino year, I'm trying to determine the snow levels/expected conditions for a few of the major ranges in the American continents. I’m really gunning for Cordillera Blanca in Peru but am also considering the Canadian Rockies or the Ruth Gorge. Does anybody know their current snow conditions and the expected weather patterns for June and July. Any assistance is much appreciated! Quote
AlpineK Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 (edited) I like to use this site to figure out what the general weather trends are going to be. It predicted last winter's crappy snow conditions when folks were crowing about the good winter predicted by those climatologists down in Oregon. You can see if the temperature and precipitation levels are going to be above or below normal. You can look ahead to the summer. I hear El Nino is just about done.
