paborden Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Now that I'm finally getting my ice rack together, I need a good way to rack my Grivel 360s (17cm). I realize this has already been discussed, at length. My question is a more specific one: I've heard that Grivel's espresso/panpipe they make for this purpose is awesome. However, I'm a cheap bastard and the CM Petzl version (called the iceflute) is about half the price. I have a mix of 360s and Laser Sonics and, while I know the iceflute will work for the CM screws, I was wondering -- will the iceflute work with the 360s? Does anyone have any first hand experience on this matter? Quote
eric8 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 have grivel 360 screws and laser sonics. I have the iceflute setup with a sling so i can wear it like a grivel panpipe. One of my regular partners has the grivel panpines and my only probelm with the iceflute is that if you use the petzel made plastic to connect the different tubes the grivel screw handles can catch on each other, not something you want to Fuck around with on lead This is easly solved by alternating grivel and petzel screws in the setup or coming up with your own way to space the pipes out.
