EWolfe Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 E! will use verbatim testimony to reenact entertainer Michael Jackson's sexual misconduct trial like the TV network did during O.J. Simpson's murder trial. "This is at its heart a very serious matter, and it will be treated as such," E! President Ted Harbert told skeptical critics Tuesday. Actors will use verbatim transcripts to recreate testimony at Jackson's trial and "will not be overly sensational," he said. E! will air its reenactments a day after actual testimony, Newsday reported. E! also reenacted testimony during Simpson's trial in the 1990s, in which he was found not guilty of killing his wife and another man. E!'s move came after a judge ordered that there be no live media coverage of Jackson's trial on child abuse charges. Jury selection is scheduled to begin Jan. 31. Quote
